DO WE NEED A COMMUNITY HUB IN
GREATER FORT ERIE?
The GREATER FORT ERIE (WEST) COMMUNITY HUB TASK FORCE is made up of Advancing Crystal Beach, Beachcombers, Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre. This Task Force applied for and received a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation which enabled the hiring of the McLean Consulting Group and the implementation of a feasibility study to determine the needs and vision of each of the communities that make up Greater Fort Erie. Some neighbourhoods have limited services close by requiring residents to travel a distance in order to get their needs met while others find their service clubs have outgrown their space(s). A HUB could house a number of community partners under one roof. We can’t know where this HUB will live until we know where the greatest need is.
