Karen Dobson is a recent retiree to Crystal Beach and is happy to be in such a friendly, welcoming community. Karen has many years of nursing experience in a variety of positions. She was an active volunteer in schools and churches in Toronto and plans to keep busy in Crystal Beach!
JANE SEABORNE-DAVIES

Jane Seaborne-Davies was born in England and emigrated to Canada in 1973. She worked in the School Bus industry for 37 years and held the rank of Captain in the Canadian Armed Forces reserves. She retired and moved to Crystal Beach in 2016 and was recruited by Orma Bleeks for the position of ACB Secretary.

Louise Pickett moved from Toronto to Crystal Beach in 2007 (“best move of my life!”). She worked administratively in the Depts. of Music and Theatre at York University; performed in Toronto’s fringe theatres; booked tours in Canada, US and Europe for her musician/husband; co-produced their Concert for Peace at their CB home over 12 years.

Hope Elliott has been employed in Social Services for 30+ years. She worked as a Counsellor/Job Developer for Employment Ontario; Crisis Intervention Counsellor, Peel Region Police. Hope came to Niagara in 2004 and, while cycling throughout Niagara, found Crystal Beach and purchased her cottage in 2005. She is now retired and enjoying beach life.

Scott Boumeester, a recent addition to the Board of Advancing Crystal Beach (ACB), brings over 35 years of executive experience in the regional, national and international business landscape. With 20+ years of active volunteerism and non-profit board experience, Scot is committed to community betterment. He also possesses 25 years of coaching experience in soccer and football, including Special Olympics, Rep Football at all levels and, most recently, as the new Head Coach Junior Football at Greater Fort Erie Secondary School. His diverse expertise and dedication make him a valuable asset to ACB.
CAROL SHEVLIN

Carol Shelvin, CGA CPA, spent most of her career in the financial services industry, both in the private and public spheres, including an upper management position with the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions and a senior policy position with the Canadian Council of Insurance Regulators. Since retiring to the Ridgeway – Crystal Beach area in 2015, Carol has applied her accounting background to assist several local charitable organizations.

Samantha MacLean, a Western University graduate with a Master’s in Library and Information Sciences, brings fresh ideas and social media expertise to the Board of Advancing Crystal Beach (ACB) as the Director of Volunteers/Social Media. She is dedicated to growing ACB’s volunteer base and coordinating activities and viewings at ACB’s new Village Museum. Having grown up in Ridgeway and recently moved back to Crystal Beach, Samantha is eager to make meaningful contributions to ACB and the Crystal Beach community!
CASSONDRA BOUTILIER
Cass Boutilier, originally from the scenic shores of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, now proudly calls Crystal Beach her home. With over 9 years experience working with youth as an educator, student monitor, and administrator across both public and private school boards, Cass has a strong foundation in mentorship and leadership. Her career has since expanded into insurance and mental health advocacy, giving her a well-rounded expertise. Now, as an active member of Advancing Crystal Beach (ACB), Cass is excited to give back to her community, using her diverse skills to foster new opportunities and help Crystal Beach flourish.
